May Shopping Dates at Our Kids' Closet

The month of May is right around the corner but it sure doesn't feel like it as I'm writing this.  It's snowing!  Well, I'm sure it will be getting warmer soon and at Our Kids' Closet we are ready for it. This is a great month to stop in and find some items for the up coming season.

Our Kids' Closet exists only because of the generous donation of clothing. Please keep us in mind and drop off some of those clothes that you no longer need - newborn through size 14/16. Our 24 hour donation bin is located at St. Boniface Church or drop off on any of our open shopping days at Columbia St. Mary's Clinic - both in Germantown, WI.

As always if you live in Washington, Waukesha, or Ozaukee county, are of low income and your children are in need of clothing (newborn through 14/16), you are welcome to do some shopping. We've got open shopping dates every month and would look forward to seeing you.

We are open for shopping on the 1st Thursday (6-8 pm) and 1st Saturday (9-11 am) every month and our next shopping dates are:

  • Thursday, May 1st  6-8 pm
  • Saturday, May 3rd 9-11 am

St. Johns kids help OKC

St. John’s Lutheran Church Confirmation Class recently held a very successful clothing drive to benefit the clients of Our Kids' Closet.

After the drive was complete they stopped in to drop their items off, tour the facility and get to know us a little better. The kids were very willing and eager to help sort, organize and hang some of the clothes they had brought in.

It was a pleasure to meet them and hear how much they enjoyed the experience of helping others.  A big thank-you goes out to kids and parents that made this such a success!

Local kids get big results

We would like to extend a special thank-you to Rachel, Evan and Hayden (and their parents too!) of JK Lee Germantown, for their generous efforts collecting and donating clothing to our organization.

They held a clothing drive which was a HUGE success! It will really help our clients.

The friends and their mothers delivered the clothes to our facility, then helped unload, sort and fill our racks with clothes.

Their generosity is a great example of how even small groups can make an immediate difference in the lives of children in our community. Thanks again!!

The St. Gabriel Tablesetters

On March 21st Our Kids' Closet had the pleasure of meeting a few of the members of the St. Gabriel Tablesetters.  After a very successful clothing drive they set a date to drop off the clothing and we put them to work learning how to sort, hang, and store the items for our families.  Your clothing drive was a big success and we really appreciated all the time and effort it took to collect all those clothes.  We also really enjoyed our time together and love the opportunity to share the joy of volunteering with the kids.  Thanks and Bravo!
